My son is pretty cute

I was sorting through pictures from this summer, and found a mini photo shoot I had with Brian. Basically, Brian looked particularly adorable one day, so I got the camera out and went with it. Here are a few (yes, I took way more!).

After awhile, I thought it would be fun to take Brian on the grass. He did not find it fun...but I was laughing.

Then he let me know he was done with pictures.

But then I got one last sweet picture. Yep, my son is pretty cute.

Brian is Walking!

Brian just became a little more independent, just in time for Independence Day! He has been trying to walk for awhile now, and today he finally had the confidence to go for it. It was exciting to see him take several steps "all of a sudden". Brian just kept walking back and forth between Matt and Grandma Shanna. It was so amazing to watch! I was speechless and caught up in the moment the first few times he walked. Grandma Shanna had to finally say, "Are you getting this??" So, I picked up my jaw from the floor, grabbed my phone (b/c of course today is the first day I didn't have one of my FOUR cameras with me since the day Brian was born) and started taping.

MN Trip for Samantha's Wedding

My most recent MN trip was for Samantha's Wedding, including the bachelorette party, wedding prep, last-minute to-do's, and dancing the night away. However, I still had plenty of time for family. Good thing because they are awesome!!

Just a cute pic of Brian.

Tia Brenda is so good with Brian! He loves to play and snuggle with her.

Brian thoroughly explored Brenda's, even under the dining table.

Brian got so riled up at lunch one day. The video doesn't do the situation justice, but it will still make you laugh.

We spent our last night in MN in Stillwater. I grew up in Stillwater and it's still is a very special place to me. Tia Brenda and Tio Gordon joined Brian and me for the evening. We dined outside with a view of the St. Croix River. It was the perfect way to end my MN trip.

Brian loves his Tio Gordon! From the first time they met, Brian has felt comfortable with his tio. Love at first sight!

Apparently we were surprised or shocked about something.

The river rises every spring because of the snow melting, but due to the heavy rains, the river is taking even longer to get back to normal. This gazebo floods every year! I'm wondering when it will just wash away down the river.

My beautiful son

Of course, what is a trip to Stillwater without going to Nelson's Ice Cream. Sooooo delicious and just a pinch excessive.

Yes, Nelson's is a big deal in Stillwater.

Another wonderful trip home! Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of Brian with his Tia Loretta. I think we were having so much fun that I forgot to get my camera out. I'm including a couple pictures from a previous trip that give you a hint of how much Loretta loves Brian...he's a very lucky baby!

Thank you to my family for taking such good care of Brian and me!! I always look forward to visiting and I always leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Thank you!

Samantha's Wedding

So much has been happening and I'm so behind on blogging about it! I'm not sure what order to put everything in, but I definitely know where to start...Samantha's Wedding!!

I was recently in MN for 1.5 wks to celebrate and help with my BFF Samantha's wedding. It was so much fun!! Thank you Samantha for being such a fabulous bride!!

Theresa and Samantha at the rehearsal dinner.

Wedding Day - Bridesmaids reporting for duty!

Samantha looking stunning!!

Brian smiling during the reception. He was soooo good!

Samantha is such a beautiful bride! Every picture was perfection.

My tia Brenda took care of Brian so I could take care of Samantha. Brian loves his tia!

Congratulations Samantha and Chris!! And thank you for sharing your special day with me!!

Memphis Trip

Matt had a training in Memphis so we turned the trip into a mini vacation. It was a lot of fun!

Waking up from a nap in the hotel.

There were so many places to see so we took a tour of Memphis. We saw:
The National Civil Rights Museum - originally the motel where
Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated

Sun Studios - Studio where Elvis Presley made his first record. Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and B.B. King also recorded albums here. Also the location of the "Million Dollar Quartet" jam session in 1956 - Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee, and Carl Perkins.

Sunglasses indoors - must be a future rock star

Our Memphis trip wrapped up with a visit to one of the greatest places in the U.S. - GRACELAND!!! I have wanted to visit here for years! It was amazing and even better than I imagined!

Basement TV room - Elvis had three T.V.'s tuned to the three network stations, just like the President. Matt and Brian are sitting at the bar in the TV room.

Brian sitting outside the mansion near the Meditation Garden.

Lisa Marie's swing set.

Inside the "Lisa Marie" - Elvis' private jet, mainly used for touring. The buckles on the seatbelts were gold plated. Nothing's too fancy for the King! The plane was always stocked with Lime Gatorade, Dr. Pepper, and bottled water - Elvis' favorites.

Visiting Graceland was wonderful! I will definitely be going back someday!
